TVS is set to broaden its electric two-wheeler offerings in India this year, with plans to introduce a new model by March 2025.

This initiative was disclosed during an investor call, where the company’s leadership elaborated on their electric vehicle strategy. Currently, TVS markets the iQube in various configurations, which has proven to be quite successful in the Indian market. The company also introduced the X sports electric scooter; however, deliveries have not yet commenced due to significant product-related challenges. The TVS X had the potential to attract a larger customer base, given its appealing design.Sources indicate that the Hosur-based manufacturer is developing a series of electric scooters, and work has also commenced on an electric motorcycle. This forthcoming product is expected to target the budget-friendly segment. It may either be an electric variant of the Jupiter or the introduction of the XL electric, which is anticipated to perform well in the business-to-business sector. The company has registered two trademarks for this initiative – XL EV and E-XL.

TVS is expected to reveal this new electric vehicle at the upcoming 2025 Bharat Expo, with an official launch anticipated by March 2025.
